My love of reggae music goes back to my schooldays and Bob Marley. This selection is a very brief glimpse into the genre. The remixing and reworking of tunes that is modern dance music has its roots in dub reggae, spearheaded by the incredible King Tubby and the roots of rap lie in the toasting of artists such as Big Youth. Above all reggae music reminds me of pulsing basslines and rhythms on summer afternoons and in sweaty dancehalls—dance yourself into recovery with the coolest sounds around.
